I haven't really walk for a long period of time since some months ago. Just yesterday, I had the chance to do so again.
E315had a 2-day long outing. We first went to Marina Bay for a steamboat dinner. There was only Silvestre, Alvin, Thomas, Xiao Hui, Richard and I there, and we indedd stuffed ourselves to the point of bursting. Thereafter, we went to parklane's E-games for a gaminng session. Yong Zhi, Wee Chong, Tian Shui, and Wendell joined us there. We had a great time playing DOTA, CS etc together. The whole session last till 3 in the morning. Then came the walking.
We left parklane with a vivid idea of where we want to go. First, Yong Zhi ate his dinner while the rest of us played bridge. Bridge is a fun game that perhaps you would like to learn if you want to be a billionaire with a smile. After that, Alvin suggested staying at a hotel room for the night, a cheap hotel room. So he said Hotel 81. But I said that there ought to be budget hotels along bencoleen and so we walk on there, aided by Silvestre's guidance which involved walking in a huge detour, where we could have just walked straight from the kopitiam opposite SMU. We also had fun searching for hotels because the hotel, or should I say motels at Bencoolen were already full. I wished there were pictures to show the road we took. Then we came up to lavendar and saw 2 hotel 81s. The first had no more room in transit, and the second was simply too expensive for us to pay. So we ended up sleeping at the playground under Sis Ma's house due to Yong Zhi's suggestion. It was quite horrible to have dog pee smell and mosquitoes bugging you all night, but we made it.
We woke up early in the morning and made our way down to harborfront, where we took our time waiting for the rest while playing bridge. We had our CGM in macdonalds. Sis Jo shared about the upcoming building fund, and told us about building the life of a believer. Prior to that, I had fallen asleep and taken a short but satisfying nap. Thereafter it was off to sentosa. It was rather crowded due to the holidays, and taking a cab in cost us a bomb. Compared to Yong Zhi, Silvestre and Thomas however, we had a easier time getting to the meeting point at palawan beach. They went all the way to siloso beach then took the tram to Tanjung beach, before realising they were in the wrong place. So they continued the walk by walking all the way from Tanjung to our place at Palawan beside the Beach Adventure playground. I would say it's been a challenging time for Yong Zhi. We had a couple of fun games, like Ball Whacko, Hands Legs and Toes, as well as the customary waterbomb. Thomas had a great time eluding our efforts to attack him, but in the end, he still had to come back for his bag. We even planted some water bombs as mines on the beach, (Alvin's idea) and it works. Try it next time. Shall upload photos of Yong Zhi burried in the sand when I get them.
I'm going off to school.
