Encounter

It happened just like that.

Monday night, as I was worshiping God in our NP welcome party, I saw a vision of a vine in a vineyard.

Then God told me :" That's you Joshua."

I said:" But God, a vine is weak, it's not strong like the cedar trees or the Lebanon, or even the maple tree. It does not have a strong trunk to support itself."

God:" So what supports it?"

Me:" The wooden stakes that is rooted firmly into the ground."

God:" That's Me, as a vine is weak, and as the vine will be blown around without the stakes, so will you be."

Then I realized, I need You oh LORD. I never needed You more than I need You today, and never more than I need You tomorrow.

Then I remembered the verse that when I abide in God, and God in me, I will bear much fruits. I saw the glistening grapes that are on the vine, and they look good.

One more thing I couldn't bear. So I asked God:" What about the others?"

God:" Look around you, some examples of man serving me are like vines. They need me. There are all types of trees in the kingdom of God, but all serve a different purpose, what does it matters to you? You follow me."

Often we look at the competition, not the completion.
But what this vision has revealed is that, I have the characteristics of a vine, therefore I need wooden stake, and therefore I need God the most.


God oh God,
I never understand why I have to go through
the condescending looks
the hesitating words
and be on the receiving end of attitudes
from the people I care about

I'm so disappointed,
I'm so wanting to give up
but LORD,
YOU keep reminding me of YOUR GREATNESS
and YOUR MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER.

I look not to myself but to YOU
for YOU CARE.
I'm jealous not to be able to do YOUR WORKS,
but God YOU KNOW BEST,
therefore my heart will choose to say
I love YOU and I praise YOU.
