Valleys

when you walk through the valleys
when you feel that there's no one to guide you
and everybody's forsaken you
there He is
holding you

You've lost your way and there's nowhere to hide
there's no place to run to
and no one to follow
you've reached your darkest time
that's when His light shines even brighter

Miserable, defeated and cold in the pouring rain
you failed to hear His still small voice
you twist and you turn
seeking your own comfort
only to find they have all fled from you

Yet He never gave up on you
even when you have not heard nor seen
even when you failed to look at the signs
He followed you down
but He'll lead you up
