Our year of our birthday actually indicates the number of years we have spent on earth, not the number we are going to spent in the next 365 days. E.g. your first birthday = you have lived 365 days. Therefore your birthday is your finishing point for the year, and the start for the next. I think most of you already know this, but it's pretty amazing to revisit the number once more.
